| Team 1 will play Game 1.
The Michigan LaCrosse Team begins it's varsity level life tonight against Loyola.
It could be the beginning of a fabulous team sport at UofM. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Best of luck to them.
I never got into lacrosse. Not even really offered in my neck of the woods growing up. Much more of a east coast and metro-area sport. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

| What Sam said this AM is that Michigan will try to get the best from the Midwest.
We'll use our academics to keep players from having to go out East to play.
We have the academics and the resources to become a pretty good program. IMHOp _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I had never watched lacrosse until I was deployed to Afghanastan. We got an AFN feed, and they were showing the NCAA Lacrosse championships. It was pretty intense and exciting to watch. | |

You can't read enough of it in the Baltimore Sun or any Virginia newspaper. But there was a very tragic story involving a love triangle (or PENTANGLE, if that's the Satanist term) not far from here (Annapolis area). You've probably heard the Yeardley Love story, but if not... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Yeardley_Love I only post that repugnant link to illustrate how deeply lacrosse (which I think is a neat game, FWIW) is intertwined in the lives of so many in this area. | |

BTW, they said at one of those elite schools their Spring Game is a LaCrosse game not a football game! Not Johns Hopkins, that's a Hospital. Something with Johns or Johnson or something in it. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

It could be the beginning of a fabulous team sport at UofM. Not quite. This will be their first regular season HOME game. Michigan LaCrosse is 1-5 so fart this year with all of the games at other teams fields or on a neutral site. They have played one game at home, although that was exhibition. Varsity vs. Club status is a world of difference as these boys are finding out. I wish them all the luck in the world though as I'd rather watch LaCrosse than bouncey-ball any day of the week. http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-lacros/sched/mich-m-lacros-sched.html _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
