Good win for Michigan in Minny 5-2 strong offense, yet they were out shot Michigan made it count

Huge win- it may have punched our ticket to NCAAs, though I'd like another win tonight or in first round of tourney to feel absolutely secure.

We're playing ohio is the first round of the BTHC tourny, a win won't help us much. A loss though might end us. My opinion is Michigan must bear Minny in the semi's to get into the NCAA. Mel thinks that we're already in. I'm positive that he knows more than me....

Just in case anyone doesn't know, Michigan plays ohio state on Sunday at 8:30 pm in the first round of the Big Ten Hockey Conference tournament. It will be on the Big Ten Network, you have no excuse to not watch.

Well the REAL sport just saw Michigan shutout ohio state 4-0.

Michigan plays Minny 8:30 tonight, will have to play better against the Gophers, they have solid goaltening and Move the puck well. Minny defeated Michigan 3 of 4games this year. But it only takes 1 win

such a bummer. what a let down. minnesota out hustled them from the thrid into OT. michigan looked like shit at the end and deserved to lose that game.

Michigan Blows 2 goal team got way to defensive in the 3rd and that cost them the game usually playing not to lose makes you lose. Gave up 2d goal when they failed to clear the puck, bbad loss out hustled and out played. Minny tied the game and had all the mo after that and in to OT

This is classically Michigan's downfall. minny is a good team and Michigan actually capitalized an even half of those opportunities during the first 2 periods. When you place not to lose it's more like playing not to win. Very frustrating.

First round of the NCAA Hockey tourn. starts tomorrow.  Michigan takes on Minnesota-Duluth at 3:00 on ESPNU.  If they win the Regional Final  is Saturday at 6:30(?) on ESPNU.

I think we can beat Duluth, although they have beaten us recently as well as are the 2 time defending National Champions ('18 and '19, last year was cancelled).  However Duluth isn't as good this year, of course neither is Michigan so...

The Regional final, if we get there, is a different story.  Odds are that North Dakota will win the other semi-final.  I'm not gonna lie, that game will be tough IF we even make it.
