That's the guy people are hoping will say he's thinking about probably going to Michigan because: 1. He grew up Michigan fan 2. His father is a die hard UM fan 3. He has family in Michigan 4. He always called Michigan his dream school 5. He was identified by the recruiting experts early on as a Michigan lock but ended up making a decision based on pandemic rules and coaching staffs at the time 6. His mom finally saw Michigan this weekend and was blown away and actually stated publicly that she wouldn't mind if he went to Michigan (and she's a USC fan) 7. His best friend is Michigan commit Will Johnson 8. He has quietly opened up his recruitment to only two other teams (Michigan/Alabama) while publicly stating that he's committed to USC 9. Yes.... His previous coach Clay Helton was just fired. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| I don't like to get too excited on these. I'm a recruiting guy. I know when to get my hopes and when not to. This recruiting weekend went as well as it could have. The atmosphere, the blowout, etc. We've seen that before and it's always been a positive.
However, we've never seen that for a top 5 kid that has as many reasons to flip as Domani does all while being committed to a school where the coach just got fired while on his official visit.
This particular recruiting instance is different and this is one I'm going to keep a close eye on moving forward. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| Woody, there is still a difference.
Saturday our university hosted many prime players, most of which are uncommitted.
In your instance a player is already committed but still shopping.
It is a tad different when they have not made a decision at all. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Eggo there has been a lot of discussion about the reactions of the recruits.
Impossible to find one that said it did not completely meet his expectations. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Not very sure about games this year. It depends on people. The view from the couch is pretty good. Plus, I can do what I want… | |

| Last year was the first year since 1968 that I haven't attended at least one Mich home football game (even when I was living in California, Texas, and Tennessee). Gave up season tickets last year even before COVID. I might go to a game this year, but might not. Once the streak was broken, it seems easier not to go. I do miss it though. | |

' this makes both of our points. I have feeling that this recruitment is far from over but if I was to lay down a bet in vegas I would bet on him signing with UM and I dont' think I'd get that good of odds. That's just where we sit at this point. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| this post is starting to age well. this is playing out exactly how anyone who really follows recruiting thought it would.
with a win at "the game" he will silent to harbaugh and make it official a little over two weeks later on Dec 15th. He will be on campus by the end of the year getting ready for spring ball. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

de-committed right after his visit there.

Bag man is strong normally that theory would hold some water but he's not going to take another visit back to bama. I also think that he only took the visit to bama because that's just what all top players do. I don't really know if there was any real interest in them from DJ or if he was just playing the recruiting game. I never saw or read anything that ever made me think they were real players. But we all know that when a kid gets down there and see's that program and talks to saban then all bets are off. Anyone that follows recruiting pretty much knows that he has been unofficially decommited from USC for a long time now. The timing of the decomit after the bama visit is purely coincidental to me. He is going to visit michigan for the game and then decide on early signing day (12/15). IMO he has already made up his mind. He will get a weekend with his family at the game. They will experience that atmosphere first hand and he will be there with his best friend and his best friend's family (will johnson). Curiosity got the best of me and I ended up taking a brief look through a few bama message boards last night and I didn't see anything that stood out to me that would make me think he's leaning bama. Most of the posts were from their fans wondering how they could lose another recruit like that to michigan (dax hill). I haven't felt this good about UM's standing with a recruit in a long time but the last time I did UM got burned (Hinton to Stanford) so I'll be keeping a cautious eye on this. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| IMHO when he did not commit right after the Washington game it was a sign. Then when he did not commit immediately after ohio it was the death knell.
Now I am worried about Josh Conerly Jr. He should have committed already. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I wasnt' worried because he was a silent commit at one time. I don't think that Conerly is going to UM. He'll end up at USC. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh
