Iowa has a very good defense, so not likely Corum going to run wild. looks like they got some of the offensive woes out of the way. Be nice if JJ was a little more accurate on the deep pass, would hate to see Iowa just take a way short stuff because they feel he couldn't beat them deep. Also be nice if Edwards was available.

Edwards is “possible” per JH. JJ just needs a little better touch on those long-ish passes, I hope.

Ferentz on Michigan: "Those guys look like an NFL defense. Big, strong, athletic. Other than that, no problem."

factoid - There are 12 players on Iowa's roster who had offers from UM.

The interesting thing about week 4-5 is that we start to sort things out. We find out if our perceptions of teams is well founded or not. Here are a few things:

Oregon and WSU are decent, better than Wisconsin.

Wisconsin lost twice but not many can stand up against a top #1 or #2 team in the country.

A&M has a sound defense, but not a good offense, but its good enough

Notre Dame is improving but who knows where it will settle.

UM may well drub Iowa by 20+. I'lll still hold that Iowa is improving and may be 'Iowa' by the end of the season.

Maryland is probably 9-3 or 8-4 team.

Minny is probably a 11-1 or 10-2 team

Sparty may have hit bottom and found a trap door

Illinois is much better than previous year and may win 8 games

Northwestern and Nebraska... a hot mess

USC will score lots of points this year and will probably win 10 games, their Defense is scoring point too

Texas is decent, but their always competing with expectations 8-4

MICHIGAN still has a mental hurdle to overcome
