| If I know Brandon, the ND series comes to an end in 2016. Starting in 2017 we have the PAC 12 series. At that point we automatically have one less home game every other year. Add ND and you lose yet another home game. UM brass won't take that route. They want to close the south end zone and add seats. In order to pay for it you need home games. There is a huge difference between 6 home games and 7 or 8! The ND series is on a rolling 3 year notice by either side to stop the series. Come 2013, look for a UM announcement. _________________  | |

| Are the PAC 12 games going to be a continuous deal like the Big 10/ACC challenge in basketball? Or is it going to be a short lived 2 year deal? I never got the details of that. Whatever the case, I don't mind taking breaks from playing Notre Dame (like we did in 1983-84, 1995-96, 2000-01) but I don't want to drop the series altogether.
Don't be so sure Dave Brandon will drop the series anyway just because of a game against a PAC 12 opponent. He sacrificed a home game and a loss of money to schedule the Alabama game this Fall in Dallas. | |
