Is there any rhyme or reason to the regions teams get placed in? I assume seeds play a part but I am not really sure.

Conversely is there a region you would like to see Michigan in?

I am disappointed in the site they are using this year. Seems like there aren't really any that are close. Aside from Indianapolis, there really aren't any close by.

1. No rhyme or reason. #1 seeds usually stay close to home, but all others go where told.

2. I would love to see UM in the Midwest because if they advance to Indy, I will be there, since I live in the Indy area.

Yea it looks like Indy or nothing as far as a game played close by. I have really been thinking about going this year. I have a 9 yr old daughter who has really gotten into Michigan basketball. She knows all of the players names. She'll watch the games without me if I am not going to be home until after bedtime. She hates missing a game.

Would be really cool to be able to take her to a game. Here's hoping for the Midwest.

Question: is the BT the last conference to start their tournament? I see most other conferences started yesterday. Wouldn't that give them 1 more days rest before NCAAT? Just wondering if that might be a benefit in the NCAA, if true. Would seem like it.  But then, maybe it doesn't matter. Just an observation I had.

Most of the big conferences END on Sunday.

The others started earlier because they have more levels.

There actually is rhyme and reason. The NCAA has something called the "Pod System" where top seeded (a lot further down the list than just 1 seeds) get to play their sub-regionals close to home.

Here are all of the conference schedules and brackets. B1G will have to start a day earlier next year with 14 teams. I would think it would be the same way the SEC does it now with 14 teams. Day 1 11 vs 14 and 12 vs 13. Day 2 8 vs 9, 12/13 vs 5, 10 vs 7 and 11/14 vs 6. Then day 3 would be just like the Day two is now.

So the ACC, B1G and SEC go to Sunday.

The other majors Big12, BigLest and PAC12 end Sayerday.

15 teams. Really, the top seeds play exactly the same amount as the B1G top seeds play.
