| It seems to me that no one coming back should have a guaranteed spot. Hopefully competition will be ferocious and Funk can put a good line together. Why not Cole? | |

I do agree that they should earn their spots...but we'll see. For me, I feel if Cole practices as well as, or better than he played in the "spring game" then he definitely needs to be in the starting OL. When you think back to how well he played all spring, then factor in that he has added bulk and strength....he could be a beast! But, he still has to earn it this fall! Go Blue!!

I think it is a great pick up. I'd like to see them go after Bastardo from Phila as a lefty specialist/set up guy too. With Smyly most likely going to the pen when post season starts, they may feel like they don't need a lefty though.

Go Blue!! True Freshmen LT's traditionally struggle, but you have to put the best 5 on the line, so if he is one of the best 5, then he should start.

| I am lol'ing at myself this morning.
I read this Thread Title "Any chance Cole starts at LT?" and was shaking my head. I've been reading all day yesterday about our new recruit Brian Cole and everything says he can play all over the field. WR, DB, RB, maybe even outside LB in a year or 2.
There was nothing about him playing Left Tackle.
I thought this thread was a little presumptuous. I mean, he's versatile and all but Left Tackle?????
So, there is the forum's Sunday Funnies!!!! lol
