Words like "I couldn't see it happening" and "It's unfathomable"
He never actually specifically states "There WILL NOT be football if the students aren't there."
He slides around saying it a few times.

He slides around saying it a few times. No he did not say definitively that there wouldn't be football if there are no students but he did basically say it. If there are no students there are no players. If the NCAA did go forward with football but no classes that is saying that players are not students, only free labor. That opens a can of worms that the NCAA DOES NOT want to open. ***Hey, my post total dropped again. There is a conspiracy against me. Last night I was at 8,390. | Spam eliminated....? There is some substance to your speculation about the NCAA. It would appear players are there to make $$ for the school, not to learn. Why are only they required to be on campus?
