Per twitter Malik has NOT officially signed LOI

Just saw this on twitter, according to Joe Rexrode, beat writer for MSU sports, Josh Helboldt, covers college football recruiting.

From what I hear and read Malik HAS signed it.

His MOTHER has not.

And I believe he is still 17.

Do both parents have to sign? I don't know

Again on Twitter, a sports reporter who I follow said only 1 parent has to sign.

Ok, let's put it this way.

Malik has publicly declared he's going to MSU.

His LOI is not signed.

I'm suggesting very very very strongly it is not Malik's signature missing from the LOI.

Needless to say Mom will not be attending many games in E. Landfill, she is not happy that he disregarded her wishes. Sorry to hear this as a High school athlete this is supposed to be a very happy day, and for Malik it seems like its being a chore.

Joe, sorry I didn't clarify. The reporter, Greg Henson, said only 1 parent had to sign LOI. Had read earlier today the dad had given his blessing for Malik to sign with MSU. So I was presuming dad would/had signed LOI.

Yeah, artist put it well. It's supposed to be a big day in the kid's life. Wherever the kid ends up it just seems like it's more trouble than fun for him.

With that being said, what a recruiting bonus to be on ESPN live all day! I have seen him interviewed live at least 4 times already. Tell me how that doesn't help recruiting?

FWIW, I heard on the radio this morning, Dad said he couldn't sign LOI because the mother is the custodial parent. I assume once he turns 18, it doesn't matter if his Mom signs it? I think he ends up at MSU one way or another. Needless drama if you ask me.

She wants him out of state. In that case, I wouldn't want him at Michigan if she is so worried about local influences. He sounds like trouble, which we hardly need.

Exactly dwoody, after all of this commotion I think Michigan is better off without all the baggage and distractions that will come with MM. Even though its rough losing out on our 2nd 5-start D-linemen in the last few months, it may be for the best with MM.

What a mess for this kid with all the media attention. And we can all bet that Urban Liar is in the thick of all the flying shit, probably slinging a lot of the SEC stuff that always seems part of his character. I hope Marshall decides to go to Florida State and rid everyone around here of this drama. It appears his head is larger than his physical attributes, which are apparently huge.

Who is Marshall?

Pretty certain he meant McDowell.

McDowell and Marshall (BTW, a MICHIGAN RECRUIT) were high school team mates.

He probably got confused and typed the wrong name.

I was worried that he had knowledge of our recruit that I didn't have.

Perhaps I shouldn't speak for 'too.

But when I read what he wrote my immediate reaction was he mis-typed Marshall meaning McDowell probably because they went to high school together.

It was just a guess though.
