Oregon State game notes

- nice to see our RBs break arm tackles and fall forward for yards

- ruddock and his receivers were much better this game

- jim lost his shit on the punt penalty and the bar was more animated than I've seen in the last 7 years. I LOVED IT!!!!

- D stepped up the two times they were really asked to. really kept the game for us. Game ball goes to the 1st qtr D.


- PEPPERS!!!!! get it together on the pass int but other than that, he's getting better and better..... love it. breezy gonna be the real deal.

I just re-watched the game and there were a lot good and some bad (although really mostly in the first qtr) but two plays in particular really stood out. with my admitted limited Xs and Os knowledge I thought they were outstanding plays.

1. on the score just before the half, ben braden lined up at left guard and pulled right on the play. he picked up a perfect block to get Smith in the endzone.

2. the swim move to get past the OT by chris wormley in the 3rd qtr when it was 3rd and 14 to sack the OSU QB was text book. watch it. it really was absolutely text book.

HA! wouldn't you know it I just looked to see if I could find the two plays I mentioned above in a clip online and they were both in this video at the 2:30 and 2:43 mark.

I could have watched that (again) all frickin day!!! That shows some great coaching along the line!!! I am still amazed, like the announcers, that he is over 300 pounds. Doesn't look close to that to me!!
