Called up by the Raptors from the Grand Rapids Gold. I hope he sticks. Definitely should have stayed with Michigan at least one more year.

I agree that he should have stayed for another year but in all fairness I think he had more upside than Duncan Robinson and we are all seeing how that has turned out. I don't blame Nik for leaving early. The kid tried to chase down his dream and make it happen. Props to him.

He was I think- the 8th overall pick. With a spot that high, he made the prudent decision at the time. In retrospect it may have worked out better if he had stayed another year. His defense is way below NBA level and he was going to have to consistently shoot at an elite level to keep a job. He has not done that. Unless he had totally committed to working on his D in another year at Michigan, I don't know that it would have made a difference.
