M should beat UConn, why am I worred?

Yes, UConn lost to Towson, they're 0-2.

Towson put up 393 total yds, 192 passing. UConn had 290 total, 206 passing

Maryland, 501 total yds, 277 passing, 224 rushing. UConn 383 total yds, 349 passing.

So UConn has given up 894 total yds., while UConn has 673 yds, 555 which is passing.

UConn seems to have 1 good receiver, Phillips 15 catches for 255, w/ 3 TD's

They can't run, though I'm guessing they have trailed a lot late in games, have to pass. 555 total yds passing decent number, that's on 45 completions, avg. of 7.5 yds per completion. Def. giving up avg. 450 yds per game.

I'm just going on stats I found on ESPN.COM/NCAAF, then looked up UConn. Nothing screams out that says they can win.

Only advantage for Huskies, night game, prime time TV, fans well oiled up from day of partying. Already 0-2 with both losses at home, they're playing on a lot emotion, can turn around season, beat big bad blue, etc. Despite scare vs Akron, M still comes out flat, crowd, team fired up, M in dog fight.

Or M, team and coaches, REALLY learn lesson from last week, def. plays more aggressive, DG on his game. Gotta believe M fans living on east coast have had this game circled for a few yrs, will have bought up a lot of tickets, M jumps out early 14-0, M fans more vocal & M cruises to easy win.

So why am I worried, guess I have watched a lot of M FB & college FB over the last 45 yrs., expect the unexpected, the pigskin sometimes takes funny bounces.

This game isn't going to be close. I am not worried about the outcome of the game.

However, your post gave me an eerie feeling like a key player will suffer an injury going into Big Ten season. Let's hope for an injury free week.

You are worried simply because of last week. I'm pretty sure that they received the message. Michigan will not lose to UConn. Relax...

One benefit Akron had which UConn definitely will not have: we sure as hell won't come in to this one let down due to an emotional victory the prior time out...

Nor will any of our guys believe for a second "there is no way we can lose this game"...unlike last week. (When it seemed they believed such).

I'm sure they've seen Mich give up a lot of passing yards so I think that make it clear as day they will put as many guys on the line to protect the QB and try to pass all day. That said, I'm still not worried.

Shoes, I haven't lived in CT since 2009. Maybe Blueroses will attend, though...
western MA is only an hour drive from the UConn campus.
